Golden Globes:The Dark Message Fashion Portrayed

We knew the awards season would be a different state of affairs since a string of sexual harassment allegations were brought against Harvey Weinstein. This year, fashion wasn’t the focus but the message it portrayed was and last night the ladies of Hollywood shone as the Golden Globes kicked started the iconic season.

Big Hollywood names used fashion to bring awareness to the gender equality ‘Time’s Up’ campaign, which has seen a wave of support throughout the film industry. It was also apparent that time was up for fashion house Marchesa where the wife of Harvey Weinsten, Georgia Chapman is co-founder of the brand. For years, Marchesa has been a red carpet staple but this time around, the power dressers of Hollywood boycotted the brand.
